Add different metadata from Excel (csv?) to multiple files
« on: April 08, 2019, 06:53:42 AM »
Hi,

I have searched the forum but most topics I found are talking about exporting meatadata as a csv file.
I have an excel sheet with the metadata I need to add to 10.000 photos - each file has different keywords etc. Is there a way to do it? I can probably export the Excel Sheet as a csv or some other format if that helps.

Thank you!

Yes.  Export the Excel spreadsheet as a CSV.  It needs to be in exactly the same format as the -csv output from ExifTool to be able to use it to write information back to the images.  FAQ 26 deals with this.
