Unrecognized MakerNote
« on: December 25, 2018, 12:03:55 AM »
Hi, is there a way to fix the error Unrecognized MakerNote?
I got multiple files with this warning, I guess my old phone or Camera ZOOM FX used weird tags(?). Anyway, tried looking for something in the FAQ and documentation but I didn't find anything.

Also, getting this warning/error means that the file is damaged in any form or way?
Thanks.

You may safely ignore this warning.  All it means is that the image contains makernotes that ExifTool does not recognize.  While ExifTool supports most major brands, it doesn't support everything.  In some cases these obscure maker notes don't contain any useful information anyway.
